Shakesepeare Quarterly

Founded in 1950 by the Shakespeare Association of America, Shakespeare Quarterly is a refereed journal committed to publishing articles in the vanguard of Shakespeare studies. Submissions are double blinded. The Quarterly, produced by Folger Shakespeare Library in association with George Washington University, features notes that bring to light new information on Shakespeare and his age, issue and exchange sections for the latest ideas and controversies, theater reviews of significant Shakespeare productions, and book reviews to keep its readers current with Shakespeare criticism and scholarship. Shakespeare Survey is a yearbook of Shakespeare studies and production. Since 1948 Survey has published the best international scholarship in English and around the world.

Shakespeare Bulletin

Shakespeare Bulletin is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal which publishes articles at the cutting edge of Shakespearean and early modern performance studies and theatre history. Since its early days as the publication of the New York Shakespeare Society in 1980 and its incorporation of the Shakespeare on Film Newsletter in 1992, Shakespeare Bulletin has grown into the leading journal of early modern performance studies. It is a distinguishing feature of this journal that it welcomes scholarship on the full range of plays not only by Shakespeare but also by other early modern dramatists from the mid-sixteenth century to the Interregnum. The journal also publishes theatre, film and book reviews, providing a record of performance and scholarship in a variety of media throughout the world. The journal is edited by an international team of scholars and is based in the Centre for Early Modern Studies at the University of Exeter UK .

Shakespeare

Shakespeare is a major peer-reviewed journal, publishing articles drawn from the best of current international scholarship on the most recent developments in Shakespearean criticism. Its principal aim is to bridge the gap between the disciplines of Shakespeare in Performance Studies and Shakespeare in English Literature and Language. The journal builds on the existing aim of the British Shakespeare Association, to exploit the synergies between academics and performers of Shakespeare.

Shakespeare Studies

Shakespeare Studies is an international volume published every year in hard cover, containing essays and studies by critics and cultural historians from both hemispheres. It includes substantial reviews of significant books and essays dealing with the cultural history of early modern England, as well as the place of Shakespeare's productions—and those of his contemporaries—within it. Volume XXXII continues the second in a series of essays on "Early Modern Drama around the World" in which specialists in theatrical traditions from around the globe during the time of Shakespeare discuss the state of scholarly study in their respective areas. Here, Mitsuru Kamachi discusses aspects of Japanese theater, while Stephanie O'Hara reviews work relevant to the theater of early modern France. Volume XXXII also includes another in the journal's series of Forums, entitled "The Future of Renaissance Manuscript Studies." Organized and introduced by Peter Beal, the Forum includes contributions by Margaret J. M. Ezell, Grace Ioppolo, Harold Love, and Steven W. May. Additionally, this volume contains seven full-length articles and twenty-two book reviews.

World Shakespeare Bibliography

This release of the World Shakespeare Bibliography Online provides annotated entries for all important books, articles, book reviews, dissertations, theatrical productions, reviews of productions, audiovisual materials, electronic media, and other scholarly and popular materials related to Shakespeare and published or produced between 1960 and 2016. The scope is international, with coverage extending to more than 120 languages and representing every country in North America, South America, and Europe and nearly every country in Asia, Africa, and Australasia.

The more than 117,000 records in this version cite several hundred thousand additional reviews of books, productions, films, and audio recordings.
